Mixed rectangle nail gem blog

Hi I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week and have had a great bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the sun!

Today I am showing you how I would use mixed rectangle nail gems.

In a pack you receive 20 rectangle gems (10 pairs), the pack is 69p (so extremely cheap). The gems are flat backed which means they stay flat on the nail, I used a thick top coat to keep mine on the nail however you could use gel and cure it to make sure it stays on for however long you want.

This is how the product comes

Step One: Paint your nails whatever base coat you like, I used a purple colour (trying to match a colour of the gems) on 3 nails and white on the ring finger where I planned on putting the gem. Then apply a topcoat.

Step two: Apply a glue/top coat/gel base (whatever you plan on using as a sticky base) to your nail and pick up the charm (I use tweezers because I have long nails and struggle to pick things up)

Step three: Place the charm onto the nail

Step four: I added other gems and beads to the design.

Step five: Top coat the ring finger again making sure not to drag any of the gems/beads off the nail

And that’s is the mani is finished.

This is what my finished mani looks like

This is the first time I have ever used gems in this way – something I will be definitely trying again to perfect as it can make a simple mani look classy.

Charms a super easy way to make a mani look good and can be used by everyone and be used with different types of manicures (acrylic, gel etc)
